DOLL FETISH = SEXUAL ATTRACTION
TOWARDS DOLLS, OR DRESSING UP LIKE DOLLS
A "Doll fetish" is often
also called Agalmatophilia, or Pygmalionism. The latter is based on the
tale of Pygmalion, a greek sculptor that fell in love with his own statue.
But in short, a person with a doll fetish either gets sexually attracted
towards a doll/statue/mannequin, or being transformed into a doll (or
someone else being transformed).

For some, a doll fetish is
much about the the idea of immobility and loss of control, while for
others it is the immobile object that has the focus for arousal. Sometimes
it is also a mix of immobility and dolls coming alive, much like in the
well known tale of "Pinocchio", where a doll actually becomes a living
creature, thus still being a doll. (Even though I'm not a doll fetishist I
have created a few comics and drawings centering on the subject, like
"Love Doll".)
There is also a more soft
side of this fetish, more commonly referred to as "dolling" or "dollers",
which means someone dressing up like a doll and roleplays based in this is
involved.

Some doll fetishists can
live out their fantasy through roleplays with their partner, but others
may as well live them out easily by buying a sex doll. Now, a sex doll can
be very cheap if you buy them at the "normal" sex shop around the corner
(we talk about blow-ups of course) but for many this isn't enough. And if
they've got cash and are willing to spend them, there are several places
where you can get a very realistic kind of sex doll.
One example is the
"RealDoll", life-size sex dolls created by "Abyss Creations" in California.
These dolls are sold worldwide. A RealDoll has a durable, posable PVC
skeleton with steel joints and silicone flesh, and yes...they are
extremely high priced, starting from 6500 USD, many costing a lot more.
Shown as an example here is one of the RealDoll variants (name "Leah").
They also have some male dolls.
