    Agh, I keep getting declines on Patreon! There is nothing wrong with my card, but always a decline on patreon’s first charge attempt. The charge goes through on patreon’s second attempt a day or two later, but in the meantime I cannot access the patron posts to those I support. It’s frustrating, do you know why this happens? 🙁

      Unfortunately, this happens a lot every month…this is why most Patreon projects takes a deep dive in amount of pledges on the 1st of every month, because so many supporters gets a decline ^_^;

      Usually, most of the declines are fixed within 48 hours (quicker if the patrons click the “retry” button in their control panel). Sometimes there’s an obvious reason for the decline (expired card, insufficient funds), but very often the declines seem to happen without any good reason…

      As mentioned there, Patreon automatically re-try declined pledges in a day or two. I know, it is frustrating that this seem to happen quite a lot and in a considerable quantity too…fortunately, though, it seems that most declines are resolved within the next day or two.
